Panel Ten 2019

Ryan MacDonald, 15, NHSS

In my artwork, Pictures, I show hardships and good times through taking photographs. My brother is the person in the drawing, he inspired me to draw this because I look up to him and I know he has struggles. In this piece I try to show that he loves to take pictures and videos and that he goes through rough patches in his life but when he uses his camera it helps him escape. I feel as I have done everything thing I could to make this the best piece I have completed throughout this class. After doing this I’ve realized how hard it is for my brother and how I should give him more credit with all the things he’s going through. My final piece came out better than I expected and in the process made me think more about my art.

All the different seasons, unique in their own ways. Each flower, each leaf, each tree are all different. Diversity is understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences.

Isabella Schueler, 18, NHSN

My piece is meant to show that everyone represents equality. No matter who you are, everyone has a place in our society. I hope to convey a sense of inclusion and love for each other because everyone matters.

Shankari Lakshminarayanan, 16, NHSS

This piece shows vivid color and expression through Indian classical dance. I attempted to show drama through mysterious and intimate stage lighting and a shadowed background
